Do you know KODI?
Kodi is a universal software that allows you to play your movies, your photos all via a remote control in your living room on your television. Kodi is available on PC, MAC, Nvidia Shield, Xbox (old generation), tablet, etc.
For my part, I have this superb Nvidia Shield TV device where Kodi is installed, it's really easy with the remote control to browse through your video or photo files directly on the television. Moreover, all formats are supported!
When you record a movie on your television and add it to your external hard drive or your NAS, Kodi automatically detects it and fetches the movie cover for you as well as the description and ratings of the movie on IMBD
It's very nice and simple to use when you have a large library of movies or photos.
