Tools for Subtitles |
Subtitle WorkShop: A very good utilty to edit your own subtitle with your video runs simultaneously

 |

| DirectVobSub |
| |
DirectVobSub or VSFilter (another name) is the most easy program I ever seen. It displays automaticaly your subtitle with most players if your subtitle is in the same directory than your video file.
You can configure colors, size and others options. You can download here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/guliverkli
or directly here: VSFilter
Installation:
Within the VSFilter archive you will see two directories. "Release" (For
Windows 95/98/ME) and "Release Unicode" (For Windows NT/XP/2000/2003 or newer).
Enter the directory that fits your operating system and extract the
"vsfilter.dll" file into your windows system directory (Within the Windows
directory, if you're using Windows 95/98/ME extract to the "System" directory,
if you're using Windows NT/XP/2000/2003 or newer, extract to the "System32"
directory).
Once the "vsfilter.dll" file is extracted into the Windows System directory,
press on the Windows "Start" button and select the "Run" function. A dialog will
open prompting you for a command line. Type this text into the
dialog: regsvr32.exe vsfilter.dll Once typed, click on the "OK"
button.
If every step was carried out correctly, you should be prompted with a
"DllRegisterServer in VSFilter.dll succeeded" dialog.
That's all.
Just now launch a video file with the a subtitle with the same name in the same directory like:
C:\MyVideo.avi
C:\MyVideo.srt
